It's not what you can do to be fashionable, but what
fashion can do for you.

Mancinelli
guardaroba! :P
in me!
- con tanto tempo per le mie
letture modaiole, che – ahimè! – sono state davvero sacrificate nelle ultime
settimane.
blog, forum, siti di e-commerce e quant’altro a caccia di novità;
meno.
Fateci caso: io pubblico pochissime fotografie.
cose. Alla moda in primis, perché se
siamo qua – voi a leggere e io a scrivere – è perché in fondo è quello che ci
piace.
Since it I write a blog speaking about fashion
(remember that: the fashion side of life is everywhere!) here - after the serious and touching ones – my best fashionistas wishes dedicate to you and… to
me! :P
Even if (for me!) it might be impossible, I wish you a
year full of new arrivals for the wardrobe! :P
In fact, I wish my 2013 was as follows:
- with
lots and lots of shopping, which for me is equivalent to many new outfits,
different styles to dress up every day and show the world how many different
"Alice" there are in me!
- with
much time for my fashion’s reading, which - unfortunately! - had been really
sacrificed during past weeks. I have a dream: piles and piles of magazines in
my home, and my Ikea libraries full of tomes about fashion!
- always
with free broadband internet available (because since I live in Bolzano instead
I have to settle for the "offer" of my key, which is limited in the
volume of navigation) to surf many hours, visiting blogs, forum, e-commerce
sites and much more looking for any kind of news!
But, ok, after a few lines of free and frenzied
outburst to my imagination I have to come back down to earth. And make the point:
that 2013 could be a year dedicated to ourselves. I do not know about you, but
me, for many reasons, all what I want for 2013 is time for myself. Not to be a
slave of life (and by that I mean all that fills all my days!), but to LIVE THE
LIFE.
As for fashion: I hate those who are slaves of fashion
without any criticism, those who buy only "because it is in fashion",
without reflecting on the fact that each season has trends that enhance the
qualities of someone, while for someone else is not so. Without living and
customize trends, but adopting it verbatim as glossy pages from magazines or compelling
snapshots on the web present it to us.
Think about it: I publish very few photographs. In part, this is due to a chronic
lack of resources (and time!) but it is also due to a clear choice: I love to
write and I think - as I said before - that fashion can still (and always!) be
read. Even in a little blog like this. And read, I think, is one way to
"reflect" on things: it involves time and attention.
Here, my wish, my desire is to be able to devote time
and attention to things. To fashion in the first place because if we are here -
you reading, and me writing - is because, in the end, fashion is what we like.
But above all, time and attention to dedicate to us.
In fact, it is true, "is not what you can do to
be fashionable, but what fashion can do for you" (cit.).
