A few moments from "my" VFNO (Milan, September 6, 2012)

Tante persone! Tanta, tantissima gente!

Imagine an evening of September, one of those where the air you breathe in is still hot, last time of a very hot summer...

Imagine a multitude of people, professionals (cleverly "hidden" in the crowd), experts and passionate, a lot of "Milanese sciure"*, but also families with children, and youngs in dozens...

Imagine having to walk - in pushing - in the midst of people, like those autumn Saturdays or pre-Christmas, when to say "I'm going to make a shopping trip" seems more like a "mission impossible" than a pastime...

Imagine shops open when usually it is time for closing: it is already dark outside since hours, but from the boutiques and mega-stores lights and loud music flare up, and from the windows you can catch a glimpse of colors, stand, flash cameras... and again, people! So many people! Many, many people!

So, "my" Vogue Fashion's Night Out could be summed up in these few lines. I could describe it in this way, but in reality is not enough. Such as the few photos posted below are not sufficient to describe a fun evening, different from the usual. However, even if that’s not enough, I'll try! Because, though not impressive as that of the famous fashion blogger, also "my" VFNO deserves to be described... :)

* A typical expression of Northern Italy to denote the ladies a little advanced in years.

La mia clutch di Mango sul letto. Pronta ad uscire!
My Mango clucth on my bed and. I was ready to go!

Enjoy it! ;)

Well, things did not go as I had thought: in Milan downtown, the weather was so warm, but I would not have imagined (and you should know that I was out with the jacket: P), and my camera, stopped working just arrived in the Duomo’s square. Tired from the journey, or because the "overwork" made in recent weeks (poor thing! I've never done a lot of pictures with “her”, as when I opened the blog...), my Olympus has clearly decided to go on strike, working just when “she” decided to do it. So much that I hardly took decent photos of some things I saw that night, I have some shots which can not be published about others, and about the latest... probably the subjects were not of her (talking about my Olympus) appreciation, because the lens automatically closed, to confirm a total refusal to shoot the picture.

Apart from the technological inconveniences, I leave you - as always I apologize for the poor quality of the photographs - some small moments of a story in pictures of a beautiful and intense evening.

Enjoy it! ;)

Chiara Ferragni – autrice del blog The Blonde Salad – ospite di Stefanel
Chiara Ferragni - author of the blog The Blonde Salad - guest of Stefanel

Come a dire: Chiara, amata, idolatrata, eppure criticata. Dalle sue stesse fan. :P

So, yes: I was curious to see her. I'm talking about Chiara Ferragni, Italy's most famous fashion blogger. I knew that she would be guest of Stefanel, in the flagship store of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, and once arrived in Piazza Duomo I could not avoid diverting my way to the gallery. And behold, I finally saw Chiara Ferragni. :P What can I tell? She is pretty, no doubt, very photogenic and at her ease in front of the flash. But above all, she is idolized by many fans and followers. Factual statement: groups of girls screaming «Chiara, Chiara!» with a consequent series of little cries in response to every movement or gesture of attention by her. However, the comments, even negative, about her outfit for the evening were not lacking. Like to say: Chiata, loved, idolized, yet criticized. By her own fans. :P

Chapeau! ;)

But in the Stefanel store my attention was certainly not captured only by Chiara, fashion blogger which has become a phenomenon that every fashion lover (especially a blogs reader dogged, yet careful and critical, like me!) should follow...
Needless to say, my attention wasfor the merchandising! :)) Always clean and tight as I'm used to seeing in the shops of the brand, but with a touch of glam and some ideas to copy! And what about the mural with images of beautiful Karlie Kloss, chosen as the new face of Stefanel, after the equally fascinating Daria Werbowy? Chapeau! ;)

La Rinascente, Milano – Vetrine dedicate alla Collezione FW 2012-13 di Christian Dior
La Rinascente, Milan - Showcases dedicated to FW 2012-13 Collection by Christian Dior

Seconda tappa: La Rinascente! Come a dire: era proprio destino…! :))

Second step: La Rinascente! How to pass from Milan without going to the Rinascente? Impossible! Inside the multi-store my camera was put on strike, so I was only able to photograph the showcases dedicated to the Fall-Winter 2012-13 prét-à-porter by Christian Dior. Unwittingly it: I’m in Milan and in the windows of Italy's most famous department store some creations of one of my favorite designers are posing (besides, with clothes from a fabulous collection, of which I plan to write to the blog!). As if to say: it was destiny...! :))

I know the blogger Irene Colzi and Demetra Dossi were guests at the corner Silvian Heach. Unfortunately, the crowd was great and the time available to complete the turn (let's remember: like I mentioned HERE, my goal was to get the shirt of Ermanno Scervino on sale by Gio Moretti!) was short, so I have not even tried to up to the fourth floor (which by the way has been recently renovated...). Too bad, because I was curious to get an idea also about these fashion blogger (one of them I have already mentioned HERE), though I imagine that the show was not too different from that seen a few minutes earlier by Stefanel...
In any case, I satisfied my curiosity going to see the new women's collections merchandising the next day... ;)

The tour continued walking through the crowd of young people (I saw many looks with Zara clothes!), between a push and the other, being careful to the windows and... to where I put my feet!
By Alcott - shopping temple of the youngest people - a long line of kids framed the entrance: all waiting to get in and grab one of the shirts Alcott dedicated to VFNO, gadget gift of the evening.
Outside the shop, a passer already got it, kindly agreed to pose for a photo! :)

Equally kind was a young lady with a bon ton – glam look, I crossed to the entrance of the Marella’s store on Corso Vittorio Emanuele. ;) I-Blues dress, ankle-boots trimmed and bright red lipstick: for my part look promoted! ;)

And despite everything, is the Vogue Fashion's Night Out... but there's always someone who works, because the image of the store must be perfect! ;)

Sono in Corso Venezia e chi incrocio??? Lei!

I’m in Corso Venezia and who cross me?? She! The  "Italian Miranda": Franca Sozzani! She is in the car and I  can just see her flowing and unmistakable blond hair. Needless to say, my Olympus failed to immortalize. :( But I can tell you that what you see in the picture was the car that led her somewhere...

Finally in Via della Spiga, by Gio Moretti! From the shop windows I see the shirts signed Ermanno Scervino, like to say that despite all it was not too late! :)) Too bad: out of the shop there is a certain crowd and we can not get in... Beyond the glass I see elderly Milanese sylphs, balanced on stilts of questionable taste and flute of sparkling wine in hand. But I see also on the lower level, wonderful "books fashionable" on sale... ;)

At some point I can get but... disappointment: T-shirts on sale are microscopic! It remained only S and M (and I do not think it was an accident...). :( I've got an M anyway, but needless to say it was small. Too bad, because the shirt was really pretty...

I took advantage of the dressing room, even if dark, for a quick and awkward shot of my outfit, just to let you glimpse it: black top, skirt with leather sequin (by Zara, of course!), black clutch by Mango. Do not look at my poor hair which has definitely suffered from the humidity of the evening...
And forgive me if there are not other photos of the evening, but it is already so much so that the camera has shooting for those few moments... :P

A must: a ride along the streets of the fashion district of Milan, where I could not count the people and the music was on the rise. :) I have succeeded in take some pictures of the shop windows and soon I will prepare an entire post! Needless to say, I looked at something pleasant for a change.! And, if you want to change the wardrobe that could be the right place... ;)

Many stores later, I was back in Corso Vittorio Emanuele. Driven by curiosity I went into Oysho (but it was not the first time! :P), the lingerie store of the Inditex group (the same as Zara) and my Olympus resurrected just in time for a couple of shots documenting how lovely is this shop that resemble a concept store, with a vaguely country - chic style...

Last quickly shots, at the flagship store of Sephora! A riot of people, colors and scents in the air! :)
The brand Givenchy has taken the opportunity for the launch of its new fragrance, Dahlia Noir - a chypre-floral fragrance, whose testimonial is Mariacarla Boscono, muse of fashion designer Riccardo Tisci - while make-up artists and beauticians offering advice (free of charge?: P) for female visitors!

Details of Givenchy’s stand, at the Sephora flagship store (Milan, Corso Vittorio Emanuele), during the 2012 VFNO

Passionate as I am of fashion magazines, I could not ask for a last effort to my camera: to capture some details of the stand that retraced the history of the great French fashion house through the pages of the magazine "Grazia".

So that's it! I hope you enjoyed the story of my night in Milan! ;)
Maybe next year there will be another similar post... ;)
